Lightweight
Staging Boards or Youngmans provide a safe working platforms when used
either singularly if spanned between Towers or if used as part of a
run, by placing the decks end to end. This is commonly used by Roofing
Contractors when fixing Cladding. Youngman Stagings vary in length and
are available in sizes from 2.4m (8ft) to 6m (20ft). They can be used
for a variety of applications, including decorating, roofing and light
maintenance and building work and are strong enough to support an evenly
distributed load of up to 270kg, without the need for immediate support.
Stagings are usually supplied with slatted decking and aluminium sides. Safety Handrail We recommend that Handrail is supplied to either one or both sides of the Staging, by attaching Handrail Brackets and Aluminium Tube creating a safer platform. This method is commonly hired when working on Roofs, in conjunction with Adjustable Steel Trestles and when spanning between Towers. Caution It is important to remember if hiring Staging Boards are used as part of a run, that the sizes which are 4.8m (16ft) or higher have a different depth to the ones which are smaller and should not be mixed as they are a potential trip hazard. |
